The practice of yoga has been around for thousands of years—and through the ages, it has branched out into a myriad of unique techniques and styles.
Here at Kindness Yoga, we seek to provide you with a diverse class roster that will support you through a lifetime of practice – from your first Downward Facing Dog to plumbing the depths of the soul in seated meditation, sweating and flowing like a pro, or even gracefully soaring into handstands. We feel blessed to be living in a time of rich evolutionary growth for this ancient practice. We are dedicated to providing the Denver community with a rich diversity of experience that honors yoga’s sacred past and looks to our community’s bright future—while helping us fully embody the present. Align and Flow is a potent alignment-oriented practice that emphasizes the forms and actions within yoga postures. Classes progressively and safely sequence towards more complex poses, and spend time breaking down techniques for honing awareness and skill on and off the mat. This practice emphasizes cultivating adhikara (devoted studentship) and draws upon a wide range of postures that build strength, flexibility, and highly-refined awareness in body and mind.
Classes labeled “1-2” define and align the key components of a traditional and modern yoga practice, including weight-bearing on the wrists, transitions, and muscular movements. Classes labeled “2” and “2-3” explore more complex movements, including arm balances layered over solid foundations, inversions, deep backbends, twists, and hip openers.
